How old do I need to be to skydive?
You must be at least 18 years old in order to skydive.
What are the physical requirements of skydiving?
Just about anybody can skydive. Skydive Kauai’s experience and advanced equipment allow us to commonly take paraplegics and other special needs customers. Skydive Kauai has a weight restriction of no more than 250 Lbs, with an additional charge of $2 per pound for jumpers that weigh more than 215 Lbs. If you have questions about our physical requirements, please give us a call at 808-335-5859.
How long will my skydive be?
Your skydive will consist of three separate experiences. First you will enjoy a 20-25 minute scenic plane ride over the best views of Kauai. You will then experience an exhilarating 30-second free-fall at 120 mph over Kauai’s breathtaking coastline. Finally you will enjoy a peaceful five – seven minute parachute ride in the most serene setting imaginable. Due to Kauai’s fast changing weather conditions, we require up to four hours waiting time.
How soft are the landings?
Skydiving equipment has progressed significantly over the past 10 years, which makes for softer landings. Ultimately, the landings are equivalent to stepping off a curb.
What should I wear for my tandem jump?
Shorts, tennis shoes or sneakers and a tee shirt. No collard shirts or tank tops please. And for the ladies, no short shorts.
Do I need a reservation?
Yes, you’ll need to schedule a specific date and time in order to secure your tandem jump. Give us a call at 808-335-5859 to book your skydive now.
What payment types do you accept?
Skydive Kauai accepts Visa, Mastercard and Discover.
May I jump with my friends?
Our state-of-the-art Cessna can accommodate two tandem skydivers at one time, so it is possible for you to ride the plane to altitude together. From there, you will each jump out separately with your instructors. Please give us a heads up when you make your reservation so that we can do our best to accommodate your request.
Are there any weather restrictions for skydiving?
Weather is not usually an issue due to Skydive Kauai’s unique location on the sunniest side of the island. We jump approximately 350 days of the year! As the old Hawaiian saying goes, “If you don’t like the weather, wait 15 minutes or drive 15 miles”.
